Yahoo lost important people in his company after the founder, Jerry Yang, decided to resign. Despite leaving a ‘funeral’, on the other side of the departure of Jerry Yang even considered capable of bringing ‘fresh air’ in Yahoo.
The reason is, Jerry is known as someone who is too emotionally attached to the company he founded it. As a result, he missed several good chances.
One one occasion invalidated by Stanford University graduates this occurred in 2008. At that time, Microsoft offered Yahoo acquisition valued at USD 44.6 billion but rejected by Jerry who was sitting in the CEO seat.
The decision is considered wrong by some parties because of intense competition from Google and Yahoo Facebook faced at that time.
Now, with the resignation of this 43-year-old man, as if Yahoo gets another chance to achieve a better future, including:
- - Removing the assets in Asia by welcoming the benefits worth billions.
- - While still a ‘ruling’ on Yahoo, reportedly, Jerry wants his company to remain independent. Now, with the resignation of Jerry Yang, Yahoo’s opportunities to move closer to the other companies are very open.
- - Yahoo has time to restructure and determine its future. By the shareholders, one of which Third Point LCC, Jerry was rated as a ‘barrier’, as reported by ZDNet.
Jerry Yang founded Yahoo! Inc. in 1995 with his partner David Filo and he became CEO in June 2007 range up to January 2009. “The time has come for me to pursue other interests outside of Yahoo,” Jerry said in a statement on the resignation.
